Lafayette Real Estate Market Update for Summer 2014

Thanks for joining me again. This time I want to give you a little update on the Lafayette real estate market. It's summer time and we are seeing a huge spike in activity in the real estate market. Here are some important things to keep an eye on in the near future.

Overall, the market is looking really strong. Numbers are similar to where they were at this point last year.
Supply is tight for buyers, so if you see a home you are interested in it is important to act quickly. The good homes are moving fast.
We have about a 4 1/2 month inventory in Lafayette, which is a pretty balanced number.
The highest percentage of increased activity we have seen is with Lafayette homes in the $300,000 + price range. Homes in this range have increased by about 28% in the past year.
Mortgage rates are also doing very well. Depending on your credit score, you could qualify for a rate around 4%. Those rates are fluctuating daily, so if you have questions about what kind of rate you could qualify for, let us know.
